When I'm on Certain Web Pages, I Get a "Script" Error.  What's That?

Script errors are usually related to the Internet Explorer setup:

  1. When in Internet Explorer, click on the "Tools" option on the Menu.

  2. Under the "Tools" menu, choose "Internet Options". This will open a new, smaller window.

  3. The second tab in this window should read "Security".  Click to select this tab.

  4. At the bottom of the "Security" tab, you should see an option for "Custom Level".  Click on this button.  Clicking on this button will open up yet another window.

  5. Scroll down through this list until you see the "Scripting" header.  There should be three subheadings under "Scripting", each with three choices: Disable, Prompt and Enable.  If all the choices are "Disable", then herein lies the problem.  Either choose "Prompt" or "Enable".  This will keep those Scripting errors from popping up.

If you see a "VB_Script" or "ASP" error on a page, that problem usually lies with the web page and / or server, not any settings on your computer.  The webmaster of the site should fix the problem in a timely manner.  Always feel free to contact the webmaster or a site if any problems occur.
