Printing - No Ink Prints on the Paper
Every now and then, a new inkjet printer cartridge gets installed, but no ink prints on the paper. If this happens, try the following -
Check to make sure the tape is removed from the bottom of the print cartridge.
It may help to take out the cartridge and hit it gently on a paper towel. There could be some blockage in the bottom of the ink cartridge. (This can happen to new cartridges, if they have set on the shelf for a while either in the store or your home/office.
Look at the print head. On most inkjet printers, this is the larger component that the small ink cartridges get set in to. If using a large black cartridge, the print head is built onto the cartridge itself. Check the gold connectors on the print head for any ink buildup. Be careful not to touch the connectors directly with your hand as the oil from your fingers may cause the same kind of problem.
If none of these tips work, there may be a bigger problem than a clogged print head or faulty cartridge. If this is the case, feel free to bring your printer down to M & M Programming, Inc., 110 North Spalding Avenue, Lebanon, KY.
